Playing The Witcher 3 on Android Lollipop
Today we have a look at trying out some hands on time with The Witcher 3 running on Android. As you can see it runs remarkably well, infact we had to really squint to try and see any lag…
To control everything we used a Samsung EL-GP20 bluetooth gamepad, which allows you to cradle your phone at the same time while not being to cumbersome, in an Nvidia Shield style, but managing to be alot smaller and in full 1080p resolution.
So how did we manage this?
Magic! plain and simple…. Ok maybe I’m lying a tiny bit, we actually managed this running the very excellent streaming software KinoConsole, which supports Xbox 360 controller emulation, which the Witcher 3 supports.

Why do this at all?
Well other than for fun?! This opens up a load of new gaming possibilities, be it in a different room in the house, in the garden or even out in town if you have a crazy upload speed and unlimited 4G LTE data plan (we’ll be trying this out shortly). The other thing to consider is that if you have a pair of HDMI video glasses you can use the MHL/Slimport connector on your phone to play on a simulated 60″ screen for a more intimate gaming experience…
